This occasion will be an exciting opportunity to see two wonderful artists performing together.Amy Butler gained a first-class Master's degree from the University of Oxford. She duets regularly with violinist Boglárka György, also flautist Chris Hill and cellist Katharine Ley. Amy has performed extensively across the UK, with recent highlights including Stratford-upon-Avon Music Society, North Westmorland Arts, Warwick Arts Centre, Salisbury Chamber Music, Melrose Music Society, Sprotbrough Music Society, the Eric Coates Society and the Guild of Musicians and Singers (London). An exceptional violinist, Katy is already much in demand as a solo artist. After performing as soloist with the New English Concert Orchestra at the Battle Proms, she was the first soloist to be invited back for a second year running, and again as their favourite soloist for their 20 year anniversary concert. Katy plays on a fine 18th century English violin made by Nathaniel Cross, and will be using “Elgar’s bow” that has kindly been lent to her.
