Originally from Grimsby, James Gillett is a pianist and conductor based in Manchester where he is also an opera coach with Royal Northern College of Music. James has established a strong foundation in both performance and music education; he has cultivated a deep passion for music in the theatre, developing into conducting and playing operatic repertoire. Yvonne Howard studied at the RNCM before becoming a Chorus member at Glyndebourne, where she was a soloist for three years. Yvonne has a busy international career and now combines her singing work with that of Vocal Professor at the RNCM. Henry Waddington also studied at the RNCM and he made his operatic debut there as Bottom in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Henry joined Glyndebourne Touring Opera in 1992 and he has sung regularly with all the major UK opera companies and many European companies. A nominee for Best Male Singer in the 2016 International Opera Awards, Henry is in great demand. A Lyrical Journey through Time will present arias & Songs from Handel to Hammerstein & beyond. This concert will introduce Kelsey Thomas an ‘exciting early-career singer’.
