Geoff Bellamy & Richard Wood Thursday 5th December 2024, 7:30 pm Organ & Trumpet
We are pleased to be able to present this special concert featuring the magnificent organ in the Assembly room at Grimsby Town Hall; we can do this thanks to the generosity of the artists Geoff and Richard. Geoff Bellamy gained a Master of Arts in Music at Cambrige and has considerable experience giving organ recitals over many years, including at Beverley Minster and Selby Abbey, and annual recitals at The Victoria Theatre Halifax. The Society met Richard Wood when he and Geoff performed as part of 5 Star Brass for the Society in January 2024, so we are already familiar with his superb facility on the Trumpet. Richard studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and has played with top brass bands including Black Dyke Mills. This concert will be a feast for music lovers and of organ music in particular.
